Blake has over a decade of investment and insurance industry experience. Before joining Assante, Blake was raising capital for a leading Canadian Alternative Asset Manager. Before that, Blake held various roles at other Global Banks and Asset Managers, ranging from capital markets to corporate strategy. Becoming one of the first licensed portfolio managers at Assante Capital Management Ltd., Blake can provide investment advice on both a discretionary and non-discretionary basis.

Blake received an Honours Bachelor of Science (HBsc) in Financial Mathematics from Wilfrid Laurier University. As a firm believer in higher education, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, one of the highest distinctions in the investment management industry. Blake also holds the Canadian Investment Manager® designation and Certified Financial Planner® designation and is currently in the process of completing the Chartered Life Underwriter® designation.

Blake believes giving back to the community is extremely rewarding. He has held various leadership roles with motionball, a national non-profit that raises money for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.

On a personal note:

When Blake is not in the office, he enjoys hockey, golf, snowboarding, traveling, cooking, and exploring new restaurants in Toronto.
